THE HAPPY HOME FOR THE ELDERLY ASSOCIATION
Associação Lar dos Idosos Recanto Feliz (THE HAPPY HOME FOR THE ELDERLY ASSOCIATION) is located in the city of Capim Branco, Minas Gerais, at Rua José Jeová Mundim n.º 95, B. Cidade Nova. This institution was founded on June 2, 2006 to provide the elderly with more quality of life.
It has a 12.000 m2 area, of which 3.000m2 is built-up with 15 suites (with individual lockers and keys) for 100 people, currently there are 60 residents. The facilities are adequate to meet all the needs, providing physiotherapy, occupational therapy, health care, psychologist, TV, pharmacy, large dining hall, chapel, meeting room, large balconies, area to host events (with barbecue grill, gardens and vivarium), office, facilities for employees, computers, gas-heated water, automatic showers, drinking fountains and pantry.
The multi-professional team is made up of the following professionals: A gerontologist, gynecologist, psychologist, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, social worker, nutritionist, and a nurse, nurse assistants, cleaning personnel, cooks, maintenance and managerial employees.
The Home aims at serving and assisting needy elderly people, ensuring them quality of life through an adequate and pleasant environment and through qualified professionals who are committed to the principles of the association and social integration.
The operations of the institutions comply with the Brazilian Statute of the Elderly, i.e. the home aims at meeting rights and duty requirements for a long stay institution for the elderly.
Emifor directors, wives, grandchildren and children have adopted this home as their own, visiting it frequently. The Home organizes Christmas celebrations and birthday parties, always in a very happy atmosphere. It is always a happy event when the directors visit the elderly, who always welcome visitors warmly.
LAR DOS IDOSOS RECANTO FELIZ is decorated with plastic flowers made of PET bottles and cards on the bulletin boards. Elderly relatives, as well as any other person who wants to bring a little love, can visit the Home on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays, from 1 to 5 pm.
